Give 1 Save 1 Continued

First off, Craig and I would like to thank all of you for so generously giving and sharing during our stint on Give 1 Save 1 Europe!  We have raised a total of $803!!!  God is so good!

Money. Again. :)

I spent several hours yesterday catching up with our adoption finances and fundraising.  After totalling up everything spent so far (including our first trip) it looks like we are going to need $33,000 for this adoption.

I updated our fundraising post if you care to read the details of all that madness.  We received a $3,000 grant from Show Hope last week, which takes the grand total of money still needed to ONLY $3,500!  That's all we need to be fully funded!!!

This is all coming at a great time because we got our I-800 approval in the mail yesterday!  I'll spare you the details and just tell you that this gets us one step closer to Maia.

In light of all of the good news coming our way, we are having one last big fundraiser.  And then we'll be done bothering you with money!!!

Awesome news!

Think back to late last year and you'll remember that we were collecting money for a Baba for Miah. A baba is a grandmother type figure who's role is to come in a simply spend time with Miah. She already has a baba for two hours a day, but we wanted to see if we could pay for her to have more time with her. Or to have a new baba for more time. We want her to have as much human interaction as possible to help prepare her for coming home.

We ran a Christmas for Miah fundraising thing and so many of you gave to help give Miah a baba. We are so thankful for you!!!

I received an email a few days ago saying we had been given the go ahead to pay for Miah's baba! For around $75 a month we can pay for Miah's current baba to stay with her for an extra two hours every day! This will give her four hours a day with her baba and another hour in occupational therapy.

God is preparing her to come home with us!! Now we just need referral so we can take that first trip!
