It's A Girl!

The time has come to share a few more details.

There is a little girl out there we are trying to bring home.  I cannot share her name or her photo until things become a little more official.  She is in Eastern Europe in an orphanage that is not known for it's care of children.  She is severely neglected and malnourished as a result.  We are working as quickly as possible to bring her home if God allows her to join our family.

With that said, we need your prayers.

Pray that God will keep her safe until we can bring her home.  Pray that He will send someone to love on her in our place.  Someone to hug her and tell her she's loved.

Pray that our paperwork moves at lightning speed with no delays.  We have A LOT to get done as quickly as the process allows.  Every day she remains there is a day she's not receiving the care she needs.  I put our agency application in the mail this morning along with our homestudy agency application.  We need them to arrive at the agencies with no delay so we can move on to the next process.  There has also been paperwork filled out and sent to her country to put her on "hold" while we finish the adoption.  Pray that the people in charge in her country will review that paperwork and hold her for us.  They met this past week, but didn't get to our file.  We have no idea when they will meet again.

Pray that we are able to raise the remaining funds needed to bring her home.  We still need around $15,000 to cover the rest of the adoption.

We know you all have questions.  Feel free to email me your questions and I will answer them as soon as I'm allowed.  Until then, know we are not ignoring you.  We are just being very careful with the information that is shared right now.  International adoption can be very sensitive, and we don't want to do anything that might jeopardize the process.  Thank you for your understanding and support.  We can't wait to share more with you!
