Family Update

I know most of you are hear to stay updated on our adoption process and to see sweet Miah's face.  Well, we're still steadily plugging through our home study and compiling our dossier.  In the meantime, I thought I'd give you an update on the rest of the family.

Nathan recently turned three.  It's amazing to see this little boy grow up.  He recognizes his letters, can sing just about any song out there, and is doing all of the stuff little boys do.  Including jumping off of the coffee table, splashing in mud puddles, and pouring sand all over his sister's head.  He's definitely our sensitive one.  And is also very stubborn.  He doesn't like to be around large crowds or new people.  He has his special group of friends that he talks about CONSTANTLY.  He loves airplanes, fire trucks, and playing trains.  He's beginning to grasp the concept of God, heaven, and being kind to one another.  He's a great kid with a good heart.  But he's definitely all boy.  :)

Little Miss Alex is 18 months old.  She's talking in SMALL SENTENCES already and is our little daredevil.  She tries to do everything Nathan does.  Everything.  She's very attached to her blankets lately and loves to carry them around with her.  She repeats anything and everything she hears and loves to have dance parties in the living room.  She's our tomboy princess.

Craig's still working hard to provide for us so well.  He's also still playing drums for the worship band at church.  He's started playing golf again when he manages to find a free moment.

I'm working hard to get our family into a routine that works for us all.  The kids thrive on knowing what's coming, so I'm trying my best to make their days somewhat predictable.  I'm also doing my best to make sure we're eating healthy and staying active.    Craig and I are both doing Cross Fit three days a week and the kids know that we go to exercise.  They even try to join us when we workout at home.  I love knowing that we're showing them what it means to be healthy and take care of our bodies.  I hope that is a habit they will carry with them throughout their lives.
