This is amazing news and is a dream come true for me. A dream I thought wouldn't happen any time soon.
However, because the owls are going overseas, some changes needed to be made to this process. So here's how it will work now:
1. Buy an owl for $40 and an orphan owl will be sent to an orphan in an orphanage. I reserve the right to decide where the owls are going, but for now they will be going to Miah's birth country. I'm hoping to send some to a local orphanage here in town soon as well. The change here is that the orphan owls will be smaller than previous owls. This is to allow for more owls to be squeezed into suitcases so that more children can be blessed. The owl you buy for yourself will be the same size, but his orphan buddy will be smaller.
2. You can now also just buy an owl for yourself. I know $40 is a lot of money. For those who can't afford both owls, you can buy one owl for yourself for $30. This owl will be the normal size. (Roughly 10x10") The profits from these owls will go into our adoption fund to help us adopt Miah.
3. Want to just bless an orphan? You can now donate money to send an owl to an orphan without buying both owls. For just $10 a little owl will be made and sent to an orphan. This money covers the cost of materials and the cost of shipping. I am not making any money off of the orphan owls - they are my ministry.
So there you have it. Changes made to accommodate some very exciting news!
